Native English copyeditor/proofreader

For many years I have proofread academic articles and theses for friends, colleagues, and students. I have taught Academic Technical English at the university level and also for technicians in various industries. I enjoy helping people understand the importance of knowing their audience, and writing well. Less is often best. I also enjoy helping with proofreading professional presentations, as all too often small errors overshadow the message of the speaker.

I am interested in helping with the copyediting / proofreading of everyday professional correspondence, advertising campaigns, presentations, strategic planning, annual reports, white papers, and company websites.

I like playing a supportive role–behind the lines–in order to maximize company goals as a team effort. It is all about what is needed to put the best face forward for the client/company. Open communication is important and needs to be a two-way street. I enjoy collaboration on challenging projects.
