Scrum master and Project Manager

Jesper Ahlers has for most of his professional carrier been managing IT projects as senior Scrum Master and Project Manager. He has been employed at e.g. Oticon, Ørsted, Tryg and Maersk and assigned as consultant at e.g. Novo, Ørsted, Danske spil, 3shape, Maersk Drilling and Pandora.

Jesper has a background as an economist, IT developer, project manager, scrum master and department manager. Most of his projects have been within software development and IT infrastructure in team sizes of 5 -10 full time participants, with a few teams of up to 25 participants. He has extensive experience with the challenges arising from the meeting between the agile and the classic IT development world. All consultant contracts have been extended – some up to a total of two years.

Key qualifications
• Managing it projects:
Servant leadership, coaching of teams, planning, change management, facilitation, quality assurance, stakeholder analysis and communication with stakeholders – especially business partners and management.
• As Scrum Master including SAFe methodology:
Supporting the Product Owner, facilitating Scrum events, grooming the backlog, monitoring metrics, empowering cross-functional dependencies with other teams and promoting continuous improvement.
• As Prince2 Project Manager:
Steering committee meetings, risk management, scope management, financial management
and – not least – meeting deadlines.
